The globe was silent and the air seemed deathly still. Various buildings stood, upright, abandoned and un-used. Mere months ago the small village of Aldea was over run with the cheerful chatter of the inhabitants. Bush people. Rough and masculine on the outside and kind-hearted within. But the human race gradually declined. Illness caught them unawares killing off the babes. Next the famine. Food was scarce and gradually the humans became extinct to the area. Their dwelling areas and surrounding terrain was left at peace. Alone and unoccupied.
Creatures stumbled from their hideouts in the bush. Large and clumsy they appeared, although quick when need be. They were vicious animals and battled their way to be top. They thrived on the open spaces and rummaged the remains of the town. They were the bears. Brown, white and black. Each mainly dwelling in one section of the globe. Although they would come and communicate with other species. They were friendly when chosen but were not afraid to attack. They will roam the village, kings of all creatures. Until the end, unless the human race begins once more. And comes to settle what is rightfully theirs.

The village of Aldea is small and inconspicuous. Well out of the way of the main trade route. It contains a few structures, left over from the human’s time. The outskirt of the village is woodland. Wild and overgrown, filled with random species of animal. The rugged landscape of the coast makes the terrain uneven and changeable during different seasons. And the ice caps and mountains are ideal during winter. The marsh and many lakes that cover the realm are always full due to the plentiful moisture from the clouds and the foliage always green.
