The large bulk, covered in smoky casings slowly moved between the foliage. The barrel bumping upon the boughs as it moved. The movements steady. Focused and clumsy. It battered its way through the forest. Finally tumbling onto the paved pathway leading to the village. The bricks were cold and damp beneath the paws and the breeze cold, chilling through the thick pelt.
Winged creatures scattered as the bear stood. In the confines of the village square. The grey cess pools gazed around the clearing. nothing but empty space and cold, dull air greeted her orbs. The nares searched for scents. Hopefully leftover from earlier bears. Already greeted and left the site. But none. The atmosphere was vacant. The towers twitched. tanding tall, twivering round the empty thinking box. When the bushes once more rattled. The leaves rebounding off each other and the quagere being stepped upon. The fae nervously waited, her hide twitching, trembling.
